The Detex Newman was the first portable watchclock of American design to be sold in this country. The Detex Mechanical Watchman Clocks record is made from the type on the recording key by direct impression on the paper time dial in the Newman, or the paper time date in the Guardsman. Each key embosses the individual key number on the paper record.
Embossed Record - The paper record in both the Newman and Guardsman clocks is made on a paper record from type on a station recording key. Movement - The rugged, exclusive Detex movement is designed especially for use in portable Detex Watchclocks. Detector - A tell-tale detector punches a hole in the paper record every time the clock is opened and closed, thus detecting tampering. Capacity - From one to forty strategic points within your buildings or property can be checked, each with a different record. Protective Housing - The movement is protected by a strong die cast aluminum case. The case cover is secured by a lock. The entire clock is enclosed in a pouch of high grade harness leather with riveted construction for long wear.	Guardsman Newman
